Cellar room - Geology, mining
Mining was already becoming increasingly important in the wine region in the 19th century, but it became really important after the phylloxera epidemic, when many people in the Tokaj hills lost their main source of income. The quarries were a source of income, but they also led to a number of disasters. Although the Borvdiék has become a World Heritage Site, mining activities still continue in some areas, including Bodrogkresztúr.

Oszvald Wolkenstein was a descendant of the Rákóczi on both his mother's and father's side, and was still a duelist at the age of 72. And Ernő Széchenyi-Wolkenstein was a member of the Upper House and a former lady-in-waiting to Sissi. What they all had in common was that they all considered Bodrogkeresztúr their home.
